The Evolution of a Story
Through Autism BC, I attended a lecture on self-advocacy in writing and was put in touch with an Editor who runs a number of groups online for short story writing.
The groups are quite small and I don’t like them. It doesn’t matter the people there are also autistic—never does—I hate group shit. That said, when I shared the bare bones of my idea with them last November, I got nothing but great, practical advice and encouragement. So I acquiesce to the fact they are helpful despite how loaded with anxiety it is for me.
